Bundle and Lace Care Tips

Stay Glamorous...

Effortlessly with style

How To Keep Your Extensions Glamorous

It is always best to consult with a licensed hairstylist for custom color applications and installation.

Always treat bundles with care. We suggest you prepare your bundles before installation. If you decide to color your bundles, they are perfect for color applications. Shampoo bundles with a sulfate free shampoo. Rinse and use a moisturizing conditioner. Gently comb conditioner through your bundles. Work your way from ends to weft of bundles. Rinse hair and squeeze out excess water. It is best to air dry if time permits or dry extensions on low heat.

Heat Protection…

Protect Your Bundles

Gently comb straight or wavy bundles from the ends and work your way to the weft of bundles. If heat is desired, use a heat protectant before applying heat to bundles. We do not suggest heat on curly hair. Heat over time will loosen the curl pattern. Heating tools should not go above 350 degrees.

Curl Defining…

Curls Need Moisture

After shampoo and conditioning, gently comb curly bundles from ends and work your way to the weft of bundles while wet. Use the LOC ( Leave-in conditioner, Oil, Custard or Cream) method to seal an define your curls. Once you have applied product, scrunch with hands. Let curls air dry, sit under a hooded dryer or use a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer for desired outcome. We do not recommend excessive heat on curly hair. If you chose to use heat, please use a heat protectant. Curly hair can loose curl pattern over time with excessive heat.

Daily care - Mist hair with water to refresh curls. Use fingers to separate curls. Seal with a light serum scrunch and go.

LACE CARE...

A lace front closure or frontal can make your extension installation appear more natural, but it’s an investment.  It takes maintenance to keep your lace front looking glamorous and effortless.

Scratching with your fingernails, tugging, or vigorous washing can damage your lace front and lead to balding.

Hair loss on closures happens easily because it’s not wefted like normal extensions. They are custom. Each hair is individually knotted and secured into the base. This gives your closure its natural look, but makes it very delicate.

Hold down your roots while brushing to prevent excessive tugging. Excessive heat will damage your closure or frontal.

Most drug store products can damage your lace. Avoid products with a high alcohol content because these can lead to hair damage and tangling. Sulfate free products are best. If you’re overwhelmed by options, ask your stylist for product recommendations.

Your lace front closure or frontal can be dyed or bleached. We recommend professional stylist for color applications.

Do not go to bed with a wet weave. Make sure that the hair is dry to avoid tangles and sour smell. Brush through your dry closure, frontal or wig. Before you rest, wrap hair with silk or satin scarf or use a satin cap or pillow.

You made an investment in your frontal/closure and bundles. Proper maintenance and care is important. We aslo recommend a visit to your stylist every 14 days for proper maintenance, including shampoos.
